(More customer reviews)I just finished having pancakes made fro this mix. It was a free sample given at a gluten-free food fair. If you are the kind of person who misses hearty, whole-grain style pancakes because of having to eat gluten free, these are for you. The flavor was hearty, but not overwhelming and the texture was surprisingly light.
Nutritionally, they are quite on the plus side. No nutritionally deficient white rice or other filler flours. All the ingredients are organic if that makes a difference to you. And they are Weight Watcher friendly. Only two points per two pancakes, and six grams of fiber. This mix is definitely going to be a staple in my cupboard!
If you are new to gluten free products, buckwheat flour is not related to wheat but to rhubarb and is a safe flour unless it is mixed with wheat flour as so many buckwheat pancake mixes are. This mix is definitely safe for the GF diet.
If you are concerned about whether it can be prepared casein free, the directions state you can use almond, rice or soy milk.

(More customer reviews)I am gluten free and vegan AND I have a sweet tooth BUT I'm trying to avoid eating too much sugar. It's a dilemma! I like to have a few cookies with my coffee or tea and these fit the bill. They don't have a lot of sugar but they are still sweet enough to feel like you're having a treat. The label bills them as having fiber but they don't have as much as you would think. Still, I'm not eating them for fiber's sake but as a snack.
Another thing I do like about these is that they can be used to make a really nice gluten free cookie crust for pies. It's hard to find a gluten free cookie crust but I found griding these up in the processor, mixing them with some melted butter and baking in a pie pan sets up a great crust for key lime pie, etc. So I'm making the most of these little cookies!
I didn't give them 5 stars because they're a bit pricey but I would buy them again.

They have a texture that is a tad light for brownies- more like chocolate cake, but good flavor. Be sure to either eat them the first day or freeze leftovers. Like most gluten-free goodies, they become gritty after sitting out for a day.

(More customer reviews)These shortbread heart biscuits are very yummy with tea or coffee, and are a much healthier substitute for shortbread cookies. They have a nice crumbly texture and good mild buttery flavor, with no aftertaste. They are so tasty that it is very easy to eat a whole box in one sitting. My 3 kids (ranging 19-8y.o.) and I liked them. I like that they are heart shaped; it makes them cute to serve. These Orgran cookies are labeled gluten-free and dairy-free and free from artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. This product is also free from animal derivatives. They are low in fat and calories (and they have zero cholesterol). This was our first time trying an Orgran product. We ordered these and the Orgran Pasta Spirals from Amazon. We will be buying these cookies again.

This Namaste line of products are the only ones I have found to taste almost exactly like the real thing! I put a teaspoon of vanilla in the liquid mixture(along with using an egg substitute of flaxseed and water), and I added cinnamon to the dry mix and I baked them 10 minutes longer than the package said, and came up with THE BEST Gluten free, allergen free muffins I've ever tasted - they actually tasted like little cakes! I sprinkled sugar and splenda on top. I can't praise this product enough!!!

I have found the following additions to the mix, make this cake EXCEPTIONAL. 1/4-1/3 cup ground almonds/walnuts/mixed; 3-4 tablespoons of good quality Coco Mix; 1-2 extra tablespoons of water; and turn down the oven temperature to 335 F. after 15 minutes and extend the bake time 10 minutes [40 total min.]. The basic mix has great potential for nut and berry combinations that are compatible with rich chocolate. Ice with Coco-whipped cream, refrigerate.

(More customer reviews)We have this Pancake and Waffle mix and we prepare it with Rice milk as my daughter is allergic to dairy AND Soy. It is DELICIOUS. We make Mickey Mouse shaped waffles together, She eats an entire waffle herself. I eat them too because they are SO Delicious and it is easier than making seperate waffle mixes. Plus I think they taste BETTER than regular waffles. Very light and fluffy. We are just finishing our first box (which makes 9 waffles) and I am going to order a case from Amazon because the price is excellent. I paid almost $7 for one box at a local health foods store. I haven't made them into pancakes yet, because we have a waffle iron and it's just simple. Each 1 cup of mix makes 3 waffles. We each eat one and then I put the remaining prepared mix in the fridge and it keeps until the next day or two days later to make another waffle for her. (More customer reviews)I bought one box of this pancake and waffle mix and couldn't remember where I had gotten it! I really liked it...better than some other GF mixes I'd tried. I was pleased to find it available on Amazon! I have just ordered a case (four boxes) and signed up for the subscribe and save program which makes the price of this item better than I've seen anywhere! I usually bake from scratch, and, as you might see in other reviews I've written, I've been disappointed in gluten free mixes. However, this mix makes pancakes and waffles a snap...and it really tastes good! I also made the pineapple cake recipe on the back of the box and got rave reviews! It was really delicious and really easy. I make a lot of pancakes because my hubby loves to take PBJ's in his lunch and I don't always have the time to bake bread for his sandwiches. One time, when I had some pancakes left over from our breakfast, I made PBJ's using the pancakes instead of bread. He dubbed them "panwiches" and loves them. I cook up a bunch of pancakes, let them cool, make the sandwiches, and then freeze them in baggies for an easy grab and go lunch box item! Unlike breads, cooking them up takes little time, so, whenever I run out I know I can fix up some "panwiches" quickly! Oh, and I often put a glob of peanut butter in the batter (beat till smooth) to add even more to the flavor! (More customer reviews)We've been using this bread mix for about a year, as it's the best gluten-free bread mix I've found. I usually make the sweet bread and it's very good, although it would make a great savory bread with herbs as well. I didn't even think to try to make pizza crust with it, as we were using a mix specifically for pizza crust from another popular gluten-free brand, which I didn't really like (too light and thick like a deep dish, but without flavor). I just tried Pamela's bread mix for pizza crust and it was amazing. Not too thick and a bit chewy just like "real" pizza crust. I did add the italian spices which are optional but suggested in the directions, and it was wonderful. The first decent pizza we've had since we've been gluten-free!

(More customer reviews)My 3 yr old son has dairy and egg allergies so hard to find good cookie substitutes. He loves these. You can't roll them out and use cookie cutters but can still decorate with sprinkles.
I think they're a pretty good substitute too. I originally made these with a soy margarine that I later noticed had trans fats. Now I use a heart healthy one without trans fats. The cookies aren't as moist but they're healthier.
I've also tried the chocolate chip cookies and they are awesome. The brownies were good but more cakelike. The pancakes were good but need extra flavoring like blueberries.

These are not only the least amount of calories that I've seen for a vegan cookie of this size, but I found that these double chocolate chip cookies were better than the non-vegan ones I've had in the past! They are so, so, so good. Whoever said that you need dairy and eggs in chocolate? I have my omnivore friends and family try these cookies to show them that I am FAR from deprived! Two thumbs up and highly recommended from this vegan chocoholic.
