(More customer reviews)I just finished having pancakes made fro this mix. It was a free sample given at a gluten-free food fair. If you are the kind of person who misses hearty, whole-grain style pancakes because of having to eat gluten free, these are for you. The flavor was hearty, but not overwhelming and the texture was surprisingly light.
Nutritionally, they are quite on the plus side. No nutritionally deficient white rice or other filler flours. All the ingredients are organic if that makes a difference to you. And they are Weight Watcher friendly. Only two points per two pancakes, and six grams of fiber. This mix is definitely going to be a staple in my cupboard!
If you are new to gluten free products, buckwheat flour is not related to wheat but to rhubarb and is a safe flour unless it is mixed with wheat flour as so many buckwheat pancake mixes are. This mix is definitely safe for the GF diet.
If you are concerned about whether it can be prepared casein free, the directions state you can use almond, rice or soy milk.

(More customer reviews)I've fed these to quite a few wheat-eaters, and they see no difference between these and other cookies. I have tossed in various combinations of nuts, dried blueberries, chocolate chips, and coconut and cooked them as bar cookies. Everyone loves them. They disappear within 24 hours of baking.
Namaste makes the BEST GLUTEN FREE FOOD on the market that I've found. If I had to suggest some food products to someone who was starting the transition from a diet including wheat to a wheat-free diet, I'd recommend Namaste's products. I've never had a bad product from them. Try also their pizza crust, spice cake mix, and chocolate cake. It's all fantastic.

They have a texture that is a tad light for brownies- more like chocolate cake, but good flavor. Be sure to either eat them the first day or freeze leftovers. Like most gluten-free goodies, they become gritty after sitting out for a day.

Anyway, my mother bought these for the children for a snack and I will tell you everyone in my family who has tasted these finds them absolutely addictive. My husband and my brother-in-law now both have to have a can of these every week. They won't even share with my sister and I so we, of course have to buy our own can. lol. Our children can't get enough of them. Seriously the best cookie ever. None of us even liked macaroons before Jennies. Buy them, try them and love them, just know there isn't a patch to get help when you become addicted, but there may be enough of us to start a meeting or two. lol.

(More customer reviews)We have this Pancake and Waffle mix and we prepare it with Rice milk as my daughter is allergic to dairy AND Soy. It is DELICIOUS. We make Mickey Mouse shaped waffles together, She eats an entire waffle herself. I eat them too because they are SO Delicious and it is easier than making seperate waffle mixes. Plus I think they taste BETTER than regular waffles. Very light and fluffy. We are just finishing our first box (which makes 9 waffles) and I am going to order a case from Amazon because the price is excellent. I paid almost $7 for one box at a local health foods store. I haven't made them into pancakes yet, because we have a waffle iron and it's just simple. Each 1 cup of mix makes 3 waffles. We each eat one and then I put the remaining prepared mix in the fridge and it keeps until the next day or two days later to make another waffle for her. I was pleased to find it available on Amazon! I have just ordered a case (four boxes) and signed up for the subscribe and save program which makes the price of this item better than I've seen anywhere! I usually bake from scratch, and, as you might see in other reviews I've written, I've been disappointed in gluten free mixes. However, this mix makes pancakes and waffles a snap...and it really tastes good! I also made the pineapple cake recipe on the back of the box and got rave reviews! It was really delicious and really easy. I make a lot of pancakes because my hubby loves to take PBJ's in his lunch and I don't always have the time to bake bread for his sandwiches. One time, when I had some pancakes left over from our breakfast, I made PBJ's using the pancakes instead of bread. He dubbed them "panwiches" and loves them. I cook up a bunch of pancakes, let them cool, make the sandwiches, and then freeze them in baggies for an easy grab and go lunch box item! Unlike breads, cooking them up takes little time, so, whenever I run out I know I can fix up some "panwiches" quickly! Oh, and I often put a glob of peanut butter in the batter (beat till smooth) to add even more to the flavor! (More customer reviews)This mix makes the best tasting waffles. The batter smells like vanilla; the waffles are crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. For pancakes, the mix is a little thin and you must use more of the mix than you might need to use of some other gluten free packages, but the waffles are more than worth it. Mix is very easy to use and recipe can be cut in half using while still using a whole egg as in the larger recipe.

(More customer reviews)I was completely surprised when one of my customers brought this cake mix to me to use for their wedding cake, I made it and it was wonderful. They paid $5.25 per mix, so once I realized how easy it is to use and how wonderful it is I began my search and was so excited to find it at such a good price. I tried mixing in different ways, according to package directions and also separating the eggs and beating the whites and folding them in as the final step in preparation. It was an effort to see how much height I could get. Beating the whites separately did give a little more height, but all in all I determined it was not worth the extra trouble. It is wonderful as it. I used one mix in a 10 inch square pan, baked three layers and stacked them. It made a very tall, nice, rich brownie-like cake. I don't need gluten-free but am so crazy about this mix I have a case now, for my personal use. I highly recommend it.

These are not only the least amount of calories that I've seen for a vegan cookie of this size, but I found that these double chocolate chip cookies were better than the non-vegan ones I've had in the past! They are so, so, so good. Whoever said that you need dairy and eggs in chocolate? I have my omnivore friends and family try these cookies to show them that I am FAR from deprived! Two thumbs up and highly recommended from this vegan chocoholic.

I've looked all over for chocolate chip cookies I can eat and these are great. The are small and soft... perfect for a sweet little snack. My daughter actually prefers these cookies to other chocolate chip cookies. Only drawback is I think two tiny cookies are about 130 calories.

(More customer reviews)These are a great substitute for teddy grahams. They have a couple different shapes of bears; Mama bear, Papa bear, Baby Bear, and Sister bear. They are absolutely adorable to look at, even cuter than real teddy grahams. Another plus, the cookies themselves are a little larger than teddy grahams. They do have a different taste, however. They are still yummy (esp to my 5 yr old), but definitely not the same as traditional ones and the chocolate chip taste is a little strange - not what I am used to. Still, they are tasty, and adorable to look at, and will totally please your gluten-free kid when they can't have teddy grahams.

They are more moist, have a good flavor and a little crunch. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the texture is a little bit crumbly. I will be buying these again.

(More customer reviews)I wonder if the average person knows how difficult it is for someone with severe food allergies to find packaged preprepared foods they can safely eat? Let alone something that actually resembles the real thing in taste and texture (without tasting like flavored cardboard).
I'm allergic to soy, gluten, wheat and various other foods. Ingesting even tiny amounts cause life threatening reactions. As a result I cook most of my own meals from scratch, don't often risk eating out and take "safe" food with me when I travel.
Unfortunately soy and gluten seem to be the foundation of most western foods. So it's really REALLY hard to find foods that don't contain at least one of these ingredients. So having an option like "Enjoy Life" foods is wonderful.
Yes they're small and yes they're rich and calorie laden ... but they taste good and ARE SAFE for ANYONE to eat. Believe me that's an incredibly bold statement. So who cares how big they are?! Besides, at Amazon's prices you can eat more if you want to ...
