(More customer reviews)Tasty Bite Punjab Eggplant is delicious and spicy. Try adding a bit of plain yogurt. Serve with rice or bread (nan or pita work well) and you have a brilliant meal that costs only a few dollars. This is true of all of the Tasty Bite Indian Entrees. I wish the Tasty Bite Thai Meals came as Entrees (i.e. without the rice or noodles) so I could streach them out into a big meal by adding my own rice or noodles.
Tasty Bite Entrees are really easy to keep on hand, since they don't have to be refrigerated. Buying in bulk works well for these.

Kala Namak Salt- Organic Salt 6 oz Jar Review

(More customer reviews)I have been eating this salt since I was a child, not this brand but Kala Namak. It is commonly served with fruit and added to lemonades and other North Indian drinks. It is ground volcanic mineral salt and has a STRONG pungent smell and taste. I will not recommend it to anyone because it is such an acquired taste but I LOVE it. I have never used it in cooking, so don't know how that works. And to the reviewer Gordino, the smell is not a result of humanity's influence but because of presence of Hydrogen Sulfide, which is naturally present in the volcanic lava.

All of my local stores stopped carrying this brand, and none of the others even come close to the goodness of Melissa's. It is a perfect ingredient for potatoes, eggs, beans, Mexican pizza, tacos, chili stew, tons of things.
I am glad I found it here so I no longer have to go through my Soyrizo withdrawals. (Unfortunately the online price is quite a bit more expensive than finding it locally, which was around $3.50 a package or so.)

They have a nice crumbly texture and good mild buttery flavor, with no aftertaste. They are so tasty that it is very easy to eat a whole box in one sitting. My 3 kids (ranging 19-8y.o.) and I liked them. I like that they are heart shaped; it makes them cute to serve. These Orgran cookies are labeled gluten-free and dairy-free and free from artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. This product is also free from animal derivatives. They are low in fat and calories (and they have zero cholesterol). This was our first time trying an Orgran product. We ordered these and the Orgran Pasta Spirals from Amazon. We will be buying these cookies again.

I actually prefer this mix to scrambled eggs and it is better that the "do it yourself" tofu scrambles that I have made on my own. To make it even better, add in some tomatoes and onions and serve it with oven fries and you won't miss eggs again.

Erin Baker's Breakfast Cookie Chocolate Chunk, Vegan, 3-Ounce Individually Wrapped Cookies (Pack of 12) Review

(More customer reviews)I was so excited to get these because I thought it would be a great healthy snack to keep at my desk. I ordered these and other flavor (double chocolate chunk) and after eating a couple of each, noticed that one of the cookies had bluish green mold on it. I assumed it was a bad one in the batch. I saw on the manufacturer's website that these should be stored in the freezer since the shelf life is 90 days (due to natural ingredients and no preservatives). I immediately put them in the freezer after getting them 3 weeks earlier. The next 4 cookies I opened had that same mold on it and after I examine the rest, I found that they all were moldy. Apparently Amazon had them stored in their warehouse for a while before I rec'd them. Since there were no dates stamped on the cookies, I have no idea how long they sat in the warehouse before I got them.
I will not be ordering these again and will be wary of ordering other food products from Amazon.com. They were great about refunding my money and I will continue to purchase from amazon, just not short shelf life food items.

(More customer reviews)I have been vegan for about two years. i love desserts and suffice it to say the selection of vegan offerings leaves much to be desired. These cookies are moist and chewy and not too sweet. Not too salty either as I have come across that. Not too oily. Vegan cookies can be too sweet and either too dry or too oily. There is a delicious coconut undertaste - the chocolate fools you into thinking it is milk. I like chocolate but most vegan chocolate is very dark or has a nasty rice dream aftertaste. If I were not vegan I would eat these - no crave these. My Whole Foods cannot keep this line in stock. Crazed sweet toothed vegans periodically raid the store and buy it out. Then we are back to boring fig newtons and dark chocolate bars (mmmmmm). Anyway - try it. I plan to buy from amazon now since I cant go too many weeks without a fix.. cheers

(More customer reviews)This stuff is a great base that I use quite often at home and ALWAYS on campouts. For my son's boyscout meals they take a 1 can mix, 2 blocks of tofu, 2 eggs(or eggbeaters if hiking), a ziplock with chopped scalions and seseme oil combined. Add the mix to a big pot of water(thinner or thicker doesnt matter), cut the tofu right in its container and drop it in, when it reaches a boil stir the eggs in quickly, turn of the heat and add the scalion/oil mix. Easy to carry, easy prep, and you can earn a gourmet food badge. Best of all all the kids really like it. It is a great change from the pork-n-beans or canned stew.

(More customer reviews)I love this coffee cake mix. Because I don't have a problem with dairy, I use good old-fashioned butter in place of the dairy free stuff. I also make mine in cupcake tins...one pack makes 12 muffins. I then wrap each one in saran wrap, put them all in a freezer bag and pop them in the freezer. Each morning, I put one in the microwave for 30 seconds and have it for breakfast. Delicious and portion controlled!

Not only does it come with multiple varieties of Bacon Salt, all excellent by the way, but included is a jar of Baconnaise and Lipbalm. I am not a huge fan of the Lip Balm, but it is a novelty item and won't kill you.... so far. The Baconnaise is super-fantastic (in the Arnold voice). It is the envy of every coworker in the building. I recommend the Baconnaise on a cracker of your choice and sprinkled with some flavor of Bacon Salt. Why? Because everything should taste like Bacon. Bacon is what all meat strives to be. J&D did right when they made this product. God Bless them....every one!

(More customer reviews)I've been using this product for over a year, to bake for my egg allergic son. I've had excellent results when substituting 1 or 2 eggs in a baking recipe. However, I always DOUBLE the amount of Organ no-egg powder they recommend (the package says for each egg, use 1 tsp of orgran no-egg, and 2 Tbsp of water . . . I use 2 rounded tsp orgran and 2 Tbsp water) and I whisk it until it's nice and foamy.
I've not tried using it for other cooking (custards, souffles, etc) so my review does not take those into account.

(More customer reviews)I've been using this egg replacer for over a decade. First as a vegan and now just because I have a few friends allergic to eggs and it is easy to keep on hand. I prefer to use it in muffin, pancake and cake recipes that call for egg. I've used it both as instructed (combine with water first) and I've just sifted it with my dry ingredients and obtained excellent results. If you have a recipe for vegan cupcakes for example that tend to crumble, just add 1.5 teaspoons to the dry ingredients in your recipe and this just might fix the problem! Recently I found out that I have Celiacs and so I've also been using the egg replacer in gluten free recipes, also with excellent results!
