(More customer reviews)I was a bit hesitant to try this item at first, but I was really surprised by the way it turned out. The pasta has a good consistency and the sauce is tomatoey. It doesn't take forever to make, like some gluten free pastas, and it is easy to make, especially when I am travelling. It is what it is - a quick side dish, or a main course if you add some beans or meat to it while it cooks - and all you really have to add is water.

Rustichella d'Abruzzo Garganelli Review

We were introduced to Garganelli Pasta there which we were told is specially made in a region just outside of Rome. Needless to say we stocked up but soon run out after a few months. We have tried looking everywhere for it in Hong Kong and China with no luck. By chance decide to try Amazon, and found EuroGrocer. We could not believe our luck! And better yet, as it turns out they went out of their way to redirect the package at my request after it had already been picked up by DHL. And kept me informed of the progress. I trully appreciate good service and this is a shinning example. With staff like Ellen, I definitely rate them a 5 star.

(More customer reviews)This is one of the very few Gluten Free pastas that is so close to havng all the properties of "real" pasta that it's worth the extra expense. Most gf pastas can't be reheated without falling apart into a gluey mess. One that can be made into Mac/Cheese and not be a solid mass. At our house we even have been able to enjoy cold pasta salads again (though it needs to be eaten in a day or two). Have served this to non celiacs who have asked if it wasn't "real" and are amazed that it's not traditional wheat pastas. The texture is delicate but firm enough to hold it's shape. The taste is slightly different than traditional but with sauce (even a light one)you'd never know. Leave it to the Italians...they know their pasta...gf or not!

Well, I'm stuck with these packages now of noodles I don't want to eat again. I've had healthier, whole grain, even organic versions of pasta/noodles that manage to preserve a nice flavor and normalish texture.
These did not. The graininess is offputting. There is no nice pasta/noodle flavor. It just like wet cardboard.
At least they're good until 2010. I may find a recipe that they'll work with. Or I can start giving them away, package by package. :)

It can't be patented, But even after 75 years it hasn't been duplicated by others. Every 8.82 ounces of Tagliolini, Tagliarelle, Tagliardi, Pappardelle uses at least 1 gallon of salted water. Wait to boil, then deep the pasta in the water and stir gently at first. Let it boil the time specified on each box. Maybe a little bit more. Egg pasta needs to be ductile. That's the way we like it. Strain off all the water well. Add condiments in the same pot you have used to boil.

The flavor is superb - rich flavor but not heavy or pronounced so it won't compete with whatever sauce with which you serve it. (However, I prefer it with a drizzle of good olive oil and a sprinkling of parmigiano-reggiano)

(More customer reviews)I am very gluten sensitive and have unconsciously avoided pasta for years, as well as bread, pizza, etc. I've become consciously aware of this sensitivity and have switched to gluten-free foods as much as possible.
When I saw this pasta, I thought, hmmm. Great price for gluten-free pasta although I wasn't sure about the size/shape of this pasta since I do prefer larger flat pasta noodles.
When I cooked this pasta, I was very pleasantly surprised. It cooked quickly, stayed firm enough for me, and digested like a charm. No bloated feeling after eating it..........it went down like a vegetable and I love the size.
It's perfect to add to soup for a bit more "body". I also made a delicious stove-top tuna casserole-type meal by combining about a cup of this uncooked pasta, then cooking it, a can of tuna drained, some cooked broccoli and diced baby carrots, garlic to taste, and then heated it all together with half a jar of alfredo sauce. Yum and quick.......probably 15 minutes start to finish.
The price at about a buck plus a bag is amazing compared to the prices you'll find in your local health food store and it's not a compromise, in my opinion.
If you have digestion issues or gluten sensitivity, please consider trying this product. It's a winner !

(More customer reviews)These "noodles" have great substance and such great taste that my family is totally spoiled. We love them. They add nicely to simple recipes, are elegant and substantial enough for richer, more complicated ones, and of course are wonderful with just butter and a bit of pepper. One of our favorite ways to eat these is with a broccoli parmesan white sauce.
The nests are a nice way to judge portions. These cook up rather quickly despite their length, so be careful, you don't want to overcook them.
Wholeheartedly recommended!
