(More customer reviews)I needed some pickled pork hocks and decided, what the heck, I'll order a sampler. Yum! These are the vinegared mysteries you used to see on the counter behind the bar at not-so-classy joints and think 'who on earth would eat that stuff?' The turkey gizzards especially look suspect. But when you try them, they're all really good. The hocks are wonderful cooked with cabbage or added to stews. The gizzards are good over rice. The eggs are great cut into a salad, and add an interesting twist to deviled eggs. And the little Polish sausages remind me of *somebody's* great aunt playing pinochle. Especially if you know someone who hails from the rust belt, this would be a great gift and a taste of the past.

(More customer reviews)Food was packaged very well for shipping...I just wish the jars had some sort of tamper proof seal on them for peace of mind. The hot picked sausages tasted like those round Slim Jims and the eggs had a unique taste which I can't compare anything to. I also wish the seller had a small sample variety pack for the curious consumers.

(More customer reviews)This shipment arrived carrying the the eggs, and a couple of jars of pickled red hot's which were also Wisconsinmade. The packaging and insert gave the feel of small town artisan pride, which was truly what turned out to be in the box! These eggs make a great little healthy snack, and are super delicious. If you are in to the pickled proteins, give the red hot's a shot too. They are well made, and have lots more flavor than I have ever experienced in a red hot.
